Jon Ethans, is one of the main characters of Kirsten Nimwey's first and featured novel series, The Explorers. He is the chosen Wielder of King Jethro's Fire element.

Jon is an Explorer who wields the element of Fire, believing to be the most dangerous element of all. He is Shingue and Clio's very close friend. Jon has a weapon called "Kamandag ng karayom", a needle-type of weapon in which a venomous liquid substance is stored in this long and sharp needle, causing its victim to gets instantly paralyzed to death.
Being the Wielder of the element of Fire, Jon has the unique ability to withstand extreme heat, thus a fireproof.

- Jon has the similar hairstyle as Cyan's, and the only difference is their hair color.
- Jon was named as Jonathan. The reason Kirsten Nimwey changed his name to just "Jon" is because she said it sounded awkward when you say his full name as "Jonathan Ethans".
